Wonder Workshop: Using Class Connect and Dash’s Neighborhood to Code Virtually
No robots? Remote Learners? No problem! You and your students can still use Wonder Workshop’s Dash robot and Blockly interface to code and solve challenges virtually! In this session, you will learn how to set up your class in Class Connect, assign content and use Dash’s Neighborhood to code on any Chrome browser. If you currently have Dash robots, this is also a great companion to allow kids to plan and code prior to hands-on interaction. This session will include a one year 1 teacher/35 student subscription to Class Connect.
Participants will receive connection information two weeks prior to the event date via email(s) provided during registration. When applicable, products included with the PD event will be mailed directly to the address provided prior to the event.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations made up to seven (7) business days prior to the event will receive a full refund. Now every student can program their favorite robot online. Dash’s Neighborhood reimagines the delightful, award winning Dash in a brand new 3D environment.
Students will love creating and exploring with their own Dash while building coding literacy.
Create projects with Dash’s Neighborhood using the same drag-and-drop programming language, Blockly, designed for Dash & Dot robots. Practice and prototype with the simulator at home then test and collaborate with physical robots in class.
Your real-time Class Connect dashboard makes it easy to teach with confidence.
While students progress through built-in content for Dash’s Neighborhood, teachers can quickly identify solutions and extensions as they need them. No experience with coding or robotics necessary.
